Crown Logistics Supports Hong Kong's Port Community System Project to Enhance Global Supply Chain Connectivity

Hong Kong, August 22, 2025 – Crown Logistics, headquartered in Hong Kong, is excited to announce its strong support for the recently launched Port Community System (PCS) project. This initiative aims to revolutionize the logistics landscape in Hong Kong by promoting digitalization and enhancing the efficiency of the global supply chain.

The PCS project, as outlined by the Transport & Logistics Bureau (TLB) and manages by Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM), will significantly improve cross-sector information interconnectivity and streamline cargo clearance processes. With the phased testing of the data-sharing platform already underway, Crown Logistics recognizes the importance of this system in consolidating Hong Kong’s status as a leading international maritime center.

“Our commitment to facilitating trade and enhancing logistics efficiency aligns perfectly with the goals of the PCS,” said Ms. Suki Cheung, Regional Assistant General Manager of Crown Logistics. “By supporting this initiative, we aim to leverage advanced technological solutions that will not only benefit our operations but also the wider logistics community.”

The PCS will offer 24/7 real-time cargo tracking and integrate data from sea, land, and air transport. Additionally, value-added services such as the One-Data-Multiple-Declarations function will simplify processes for businesses, making it easier for them to engage in international trade.

Crown Logistics is particularly enthusiastic about the collaboration between the Transport & Logistics Bureau and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, which aims to explore the use of cargo status data for trade finance processes. This innovation will help reduce credit costs and processing times for financial institutions and small and medium enterprises, fostering a more resilient and competitive trading environment.

“We believe that the PCS will not only enhance Hong Kong’s logistics capabilities but also ensure that our city remains competitive in the increasingly complex global trade landscape,” added Ms. Cheung. “Together, we can build a smarter, more efficient port community that benefits all stakeholders.”
