When in 1928 Sir Henry Royce was preparing the introduction of a new car designed for the owner driver, The Peninsula opened its doors to a similarly discerning breed of visitors in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.
Since that time The Peninsula Hotels has grown to become a distinctive group of 10 luxurious hotels in Asia, Europe and the USA. It is obvious that the Peninsula Hotels Group has high standards. Crown Logistics has been serving The Peninsula Hotels for its renovation and new installation projects since 1994. Following projects in Paris, Shanghai and Hong Kong, in 2016 Crown Logistics began working with the Group on its renovation of The Peninsula Beijing.
Delivering a first-class, integrated service
Crown Logistics received the contract to supply warehouse and inventory management, pick and pack, distribution management, installation and placement, and reporting to the hotel Group on the strength of its proposal and its experience as a quality supplier to the Group. Crown’s proposal integrated all the client’s requirements in a unified service and at a competitive price.
The project relied on synchronizing a vast number of purchase orders and multiple suppliers. To ensure efficient delivery, installation and professional labor provision, Crown coordinated the entire process. From managing packing requirements to on-time delivery, Crown designed transport models and executed Standard Operation Procedure including inbound, outbound, delivery, installation, placement.
The project entailed supplying OS&E and FF&E for 230 guest rooms and public areas including a restaurant and lobby.
