Background:

The Devon Energy Panya Project required delivery of a generator from Sea Shekou to Zhangjiang Port to Panyu Project Site in five days:

September 3, 2002

Received Duty Free Certificate (DFC) from Devon. Immediately arranged China Entry Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ) for six containers, all with wood packing materials. CIQ only takes 10 x 5 CM wood board for testing.
September 4, 2002 Submit detailed report to CIQ and Shekou Customs. Apply for expedient CIQ and Customs Clearance process, releasing cargo first and follow through with finalizing the declaration process.
September 5, 2002 CIQ and Shekou Customs released cargo, with well-prepared Customs. CIQ did not even open the crates for inspection.

Six-container load on Vessel to Zhangjiang. Oversize cargo by Sea Freight safe which is less expensive than sending by truck. Ocean Freight from Shekou to Zhangjiang.

Result:
September 7, 2002 Delivered cargo to Panyu Project Site, Zhangjiang.
